Painful

This is probably going to be a short journal entry. i almost forgot to write one and i’ve already taken some pain medication for my knee. You would think it would not hurt as much since i had the knee replacement.

Actually, it’s only really started hurting in the last few months and not in the knee. It hurts in the shin bone where they put in what looks like a spike that holds the “plastic” part that is supposed to stop bone from rubbing bone. Now that part works really well. my knee doesn’t hurt…just my shin.

When it hurts, it really hurts. i’ve called the orthopedic surgeon and am waiting to see if it’s a normal thing or something he wants to see me for. i’m hoping it’s just a normal thing. Part of me thinks that maybe a total knee replacement might have been the way to go, but who knows. It really only was the right side of my left knee that was bad.

Okay, i’m off to lay on the couch and watch “Last of the Mohicans”. That is such a cool movie.
