Master and i were laughing really hard this evening. Of course, that is nothing new. We tend to laugh a lot, but in this case, we were laughing at something extremely politically incorrect.
my friends all know that i have a special needs child. So Master and i were watching the taped episode of “So You Think You Can Dance”. Taylor was enjoying it with us. When Master put the TV on one of the Sirius music stations, Taylor started to dance.
Now, it’s really hard to convey the visual image here, but Taylor has a specific dance she does. It sort of resembles a kind of “chicken” dance. Well, one of Master’s old girlfriends was very active in Special Olympics and she had a “pet” name for her athletes…she called them “tardies”. She said this with much love and affection.
Well, to make a long story even longer, i happened to call Taylor’s dance “doing the tardy chicken”. Needless to say, Master and i were laughing so hard. i could hardly breathe.
i understand that to any bystander, what i said might be considered bad. However, because she is my child and i love her, i think it’s perfectly acceptable to say it. i would be upset if a complete stranger said it, but not someone who loves and knows Taylor.
Besides, Master and i have to deal with all the stress of having a special needs child. If laughing helps us cope, so be it.

Those who try to pass judgment simply do not understand. And i believe its only your friends and Master here, so no one will get upset. And yes, every once in awhile we all need a laugh; though some of us more than others.

I was in tears, and it was very funny. One of those, "you had to be there," times.
She is so precious, and not a care in the world when she dances or sings along to a song. The joy she gets is wonderful.
It is truly a hybrid dance she does, and tardee-chicken dance just says it right!

Oh, my gosh, if i could be around the three of you face to face i don't think i would be able to contain my laughter...CDK, Your signature cracked me up.....All in love and isn't that how W/we are all supposed to be? None judgemental and everything done and said in love???
Laughter is truely the best medicine for anything that ails Y/you so keep laughing my F/friends.
