Communication...or Lack Thereof

Communication: the imparting or interchange of thoughts, opinions, or information by speech, writing, or signs.

Sometimes i seem to have trouble with communication. A lot of times, i’ll think of some information that my Master needs, but i’ll be doing something at the time and i’ll forget all about giving him that information.

i’m not using that as an excuse or reason. i’m simply stating what goes on. i know i need to learn to communicate better. It is something that is important in any relationship, let alone a Master/slave relationship.

Communication is the key to dealing with anyone and it seems to be a big weakness of mine. i guess the only thing i can do is strive to learn from my mistakes and make sure that communication with my Master is at the top of my list.

i’ve come a long way from the way i was when i first moved here. i’m a lot better at communicating my feelings and emotions. i wouldn’t say that i’m perfect at that, but i am improving and that is a start.

i just need to take what i’ve learned from my past experiences and apply them to the “now”. i know that i need to focus my thoughts instead of being scatterbrained. Master and i were talking today and we both agree that i am very intelligent when it comes to “book smarts” but that i tend to lack some common sense. Okay, so it’s probably more than just some, but i didn’t want to make myself sound totally ignorant.

They say you learn more from your mistakes than you do from the right things you do. i guess that means that i have learned a ton of lessons.
Addendum: So, Master pointed out that yesterday's journal also mentioned communication, just not my lack of it. i thought it fair to point out to others that yes, i also slip up in my communication skills. Just learn and move on. No sense in dwelling on something that can't be changed.

The interesting thing is, I pointed out your journal on communications with Taylor yesterday, and you saw a completely different point than what I was thinking.

I was thinking how I feel like you with Taylor at times, when you don't communicate, is is just as bad as if you could not communicate, since sometimes you have a hard time.

I was not getting on you for saying you are a good communicator, I was merely bringing up the thought that it is frustrating when you cannot communicate with someone, as you pointed out in your journal.

Wow, that was weird huh?

Isn't communications awesome?

you are doing much better, and I know you will work on this.

i share your problem with communication and many times can't express in an inteligable way my thoughts to Sir. The forgetfulness may be solved with a note pad carried in your pocket.

Also, something that your Master and yourself should investigate is that when someone is in an emotional flux or grieving over something one of the first things to go is memory, especially short term memory. Very similar to what you described in your entry.

Do you ever walk into a room and ask yourself, OK, and why did i come into this room???? If you do we really, really, have something in common. ROFLMBO
