This week has gone by fast. i can't believe tomorrow is Friday already. Tonight was the first night in a long time that i don't really want to write a journal entry. i think it's because i have just felt drained all day. i'm sure it's a combination of the heat and the fact that i'm still not making any iron.
i got the results of my blood work back on Tuesday and after 2 months on prescription iron pills, i still haven't produced a big enough improvement. My ferritin level should be 50+ but the doctor said she'd be happy with 13. My level is 4. My hemoglobin level should be 14+ and it's only 9.4. If it goes down to 7 or below, it will require a blood transfusion.
They still don't know why i'm not producing my own iron. It's either a bleeding problem or an absorption problem. The doctor is going to have my primary physician order iron infusions. So while Taylor is getting her port flushed, i can get IV iron…fun.

I know that having the IV iron can't be much fun at least "hopefully" it will energize you, in so doing lift your spirits as well. Prayerfully it is my hope for you that the cause will be found soon; what ever it is will be able to be resolved and you will be good as new.
Hang in there!!! You're resolve is worthy of emulation.
