Tears & Delayed Flights

i decided to go ahead and write my journal entry now. i'm sure it will be busy tonight. B's flight is landing as i write this. Frontier charges an arm and a leg if you check bags but they do have a map that lets you follow a specific flight number. It's pretty cool.

There is going to be a delay, i'm just not sure how much of one. Her flight was 51 minutes delayed, taking off from Atlanta. i am just waiting for her to call me when she gets off the plane in Denver so she can tell me exactly how delayed it will be getting to Portland. Right now it's showing a 2 hour 39 minute delay…which totally sucks. i'll base my trip to the airport to get her based on what she tells me.

Court's husband bought a gate ticket so that he could sit at the gate with B and the kids. He didn't want her having to spend a few hours trying to keep a handle on Gavin and Ally by herself. It's a shame B's own husband couldn't be that considerate. If that were the case, i wouldn't have had to spend over an hour trying to console Court while she hung out in the car waiting on her husband.

It broke my heart to listen to her cry…which of course, made me cry. i'm her mom. If my girls hurt, i hurt. It's that simple. Court is really having a hard time with this. She has just sort of shut down right now. i told her it will get a wee bit easier every day. She knows that we are all doing what is right for B, it's just hard because they have never been apart. She feels all alone because she wants to be here with B and i. She is scared that Ally isn't going to remember her and that she won't be Aunt NayNay anymore if there is no one there to call her that. We will just have to find ways to reassure her that she will always be Aunt NayNay.

i'm with Court though…we are all angry at B's asshole husband. The good thing is that she is dead set on getting a divorce. She said there is nothing left of her feelings for him. i'm glad for her, but honestly, it's still sad.
