Black Monday

It has been a rough Monday for me. It started off with me stubbing my toe on a chair leg this morning. It hurt like hell. Then i went in to Taylor's room to get a pair of pants for her to wear to school and when i pulled her dresser drawer open, the whole front of the drawer came off in my hand. The dresser is only a few months old. However it is that pressboard stuff and we bought it at Wal-Mart. i guess you get what you pay for. So, back to the Monday…i was getting Taylor dressed and her bus came 10 minutes early. i was still putting her shoes on so i had to yell out the door to the bus driver that she was coming. *sighs*

As the morning progressed, my toe and foot really started to hurt. About an hour after i had done it, it was already turning black and blue. i called my doctor and he said i needed to have it x-rayed. So Master sent me off to Urgent Care. When the doctor saw it, he said "ewwww that looks bad". i suppose that should have clued me in that it was most likely broken. Sure enough, after the x-ray, the doctor came in and said that i broke my toe and i also broke one of the bones in my foot. They ended up injecting lidocaine into the area and setting the toe and then wrapping it all up. If i had broken the foot bone just a little bit down from where i did, i would have had to have a cast. i'm guessing that that would be my "silver lining"...the fact that i missed a cast by just an inch or so.

i have had a rough Monday. i hope it wasn't a sign of how the rest of my week is going to go.
