Daughters

i talk to my middle daughter B every day. Actually, it’s more like 3 – 4 times a day. my oldest daughter, Court…not so much. It’s like 3 – 4 times a month. It’s not that she and i have any issues, it’s just that she hates talking on the phone. Also, B is more of a mommy’s girl and always has been…which is kind of funny when i think of them as little girls. B always wanted to play by herself and Court needed entertained and since they were only 17 months apart, you’d think Court would be closer to me.

So today, Court and i actually talked twice. She is hosting Thanksgiving dinner at her new house this year and had some questions. Court has always been the cook of my girls. Ask me sometime about B’s hamburger helper years ago. *laughs* Anyway, as always, when Court and i do talk, we always end up laughing and repeating lines from movies. Now that Court got from her mom…the ability to remember movie dialogue. Yep, i really know how to pass on the talent.

i can’t wait. She will be here in 10 days. She can only stay for 2 full days, but it will just be so great to see her. i haven’t seen my other girls since August, 2007. B will be bringing Taylor back in January and she will be bringing Ally with her since Ally is the only grandchild that is still under 2. i’ll get to spend an entire week with them. Laughing with Court today made me miss them a great deal. When the 3 of us would get together, we would laugh until we were sick. i have really amazing girls!
