School Days

Today was such a wonderful day. Master and i celebrated our first whole Taylor free day with a special lunch. It was really nice. i can’t believe how quiet the house is without hearing the word “mommy” every few minutes.

That may sound bad, but there are days when i sometimes question my ability to hang on to my sanity. On a side note, after listening to the Republican Vice Presidential candidate, it would definitely be nice to have an advocate in the White House. Only the mother of a special needs child knows what other mothers/parents need. That was my political view for the day.

i will say that when Taylor got home from school, she was definitely wound up. She was full of herself. i couldn’t wait until it was bath and bedtime. Of course, the school day tires her out, she is asleep much earlier than she has been during the summer. Let’s hope things settle down after she gets back in “school mode”.

That was very nice.

And yes, she was wound very tight today when she came home, and talk about Princess syndrome, wow.

Well, a few days of this, and she will be so tired, she will be too pooped to have an attitude!

School is good!!!

Too tired to have an attitude? Now that's a good thing, especially when it comes to one who is known as "Princess." When you're a Princess it is necessary to uphold your posission and make sure that everyone around you knows that you are royalty. **big smiles**

As to Sarah Palin, when i listened to her speach and heard that W/we will have an advocate for special needs children, i actually was lying in bed next to my Master and literally applauding what she said. Now she should be a really, really, good advocate because if she is going on just her experience with a new born infant with downs she has no idea just what is ahead and hopefully will have all around her in the education dept. especially jumping at her beckon call. YAAAAAAAA!!!!!

As Y/you know O/our son Stevie has aspergers and has made it through graduating H.S., a couple years at a community college and right now he is very happy as a shift supervisor a Dunkin Donuts. He even got his drivers lic. a few months ago at the age of 24. Now my point in singing the praise of my eldest son....for me, there were no parent advocates..i became one to other individuals who didn't know the system; sure wish there had been an easier way at times to get him the services he needed. In the end though it all worked out and i am very, very proud of the man he has come to be that i never even dared was possible to even dream about when he was a youngin.
