There has been something bothering me lately. It’s actually the same old thing that my Master and others have talked about and that is respect. Why is it that it is so hard to show a modicum of respect for others, be they Dominants or submissives?
It happens in real life and it happens online. One of the problems is that too many of us are scared to speak up about the lack of respect or “call” the offender out. There are Dominants who don’t respect the ownership of others; there are submissives that don’t even show common courtesy to a Dominant.
Then you have submissives that continually allow their Master to be disrespected by others. Sure the Master can step forward and say something, but if a “Dominant” said things to me that are disrespectful of my Master then it’s up to me to say enough.
Sometimes i think that is where the whole “doormat” thing comes into play. The very nature of being submissive or a slave does not make one a doormat. Allowing every person who claims to be a Dominant run over top of you is what makes you a doormat. You might as well have welcome stamped on your forehead.
As far as a Dominant not speaking up for him/her self, i don’t have a clue. Maybe they think “why bother”. Depending on the situation, i’m sure that can be a valid reason. However, sometimes you just have to say enough is enough as well. Have any of these people ever wondered how uncomfortable we “innocent bystanders” can be. Sometimes i just shake my head and walk away.
i’m not sure why i have this particular issue under my skin tonight. Maybe i’ve just been reading too many 360 pages and seeing the drama and disrespect there. All i know is that i’ve gotten really tired of it. Sometimes i just want to shake a person and tell them to grow a backbone.

I know exactly what you are saying. I would expect you to stick up for me, or yourself in a situation. I just don't understand it.
Maybe some want the ol "doormat" and no brain, I would not doubt that.
I am happy with my slave who has just the right amount of spunk, right where & when she needs it.
And when she has spunk in the wrong place or at the wrong time, she is promptly edu-ma-cated in the ways of proper spunk-etiquette. :o
your Spunk-Master
And now a message from our sponsor....just kidding, a play on the end of your rant.
i see 2 choices that you have:
1.) Set a good example for others to follow as i'm sure that you do.....or 2.) When you shake your head and walk away, keep walking and don't look back, especially when in the venue of the Internet.
My Master, Sir Geoffrey, got tired of my recounting the Internet drama to Him on a regular basis and eventually helped me with my decision of walking away from the groups and such.
Keep on being who you are, a slave that is worthy of dignity and respect and defends her Master's right to same. Besides that, your a beautiful woman and that whole stamp of door-mat on your fore head would just mess up that beauty...LOL **smiles**
Enjoy your day today as super slave and i'll ttys.
hugs,
kathleen {SG}
Proud to be called doulos to
