Divine Intervention

You know, there are those times in life when you realize that Someone bigger than yourself is directing what you do. i had one of those days today. It’s not that i don’t believe in God…i most certainly do. i just have some trouble right now reconciling religion and the way i live.

i don’t believe myself to be some big time sinner, but i know the church would say that the relationship i have with my Master is sinful and how can anything so good for me be a bad thing? Okay, enough about religion. This entry has to do with being directed by God to a place where i was needed.

So, i decided to run to the grocery store to get a few things. i didn’t really need to go, but i figured, “why not”. As usual, when Taylor is home, i take her with me. She loves going to the store. She has quite a few “friends” there. By friends, i mean employees. They are always so sweet to her.

Anyway, Taylor and i finish shopping and head to the checkout line. i was going to go to the Express lane, but thought i had one too many items, so i headed to the next one. The cashier smiled at Taylor and then she started to tear up. She apologized and then went on to tell me that her 8 year old son was hurt by someone when he was 7 months old and was now profoundly developmentally delayed with seizures.

She told me that she had been feeling down all day, but that seeing Taylor gave her some hope for her child and what he may be like as an adult. Taylor was being her normal cute self and that was the best compliment that i could have ever gotten about Taylor.

She needed to be lifted up today and the fact that Taylor and i went to the store and ended up in her line was not a coincidence. To me, it was “divine intervention”. God put Taylor and i in a place to be of help to someone who needed lifted out of the despair she was feeling. By doing that, we helped her, but i was also helped. i was shown that my profoundly, developmentally delayed child has a purpose in life, other than being my baby. She can be an example of what God’s love on earth is like.

It is amazing how our path takes us, and how we are used to help others. It is awesome that you see that in those kinds of circumstances.

I know we will never comprehend it, but it is cool when we are used to help others, and we really don't even try.

Just by being there, or being ourselves, sometimes is enough to help others through a rough time.

That was a neat experience for you and Taylor.

I had a very nice dinner with my slave tonight. It was nice getting out together, alone!

sister, ALL sin and fall short of the glory of God...It's just the repentance (turn and walk the other way) angle that is asked of us. Then we're forgiven.. i can only speak for myself but i'm really turned off to what so many call "religion" so that's why i refer to myself as a follower of Jesus Christ and use Him as my measuring stick and guide.......OK, i'm probably preaching to the C/choir so please forgive me. Consider this a prophetic word and i don't say that very much, but one day, you will no longer be worried about Mr. CDK's and yours situation as all will be made right in the eyes of God......after that one your Master probably won't let me talk to you anymore **smiles**

Anyway, enough preaching; God can and will always use us where we are at. For Taylor and yourself it was having compassion for and comforting that woman that you met. i beleive through the power of God you gave that woman hope. We all have a plan and a purpose for our lives and that plan is to give us hope and a future, to help us and not harm us. That was kind of a summery of what it says in the book of Jeremiah about our lives.

i love you sis and care deeply for your Master as well, and hope that all of U/us will remain friends and meet face to face including Sir Geoffrey one day. This too, i know is going to happen. **smiles**
